I received a message today from an old friend. She said I look happier (in the pics on my myspace page) than I have in a long time. She knew me when I was still working full-time at the place that I hated. It was good to hear that. I am happier than I have ever been in my whole life as a matter of fact.
Second, a friend stopped and brought me some sheets and pillowcases. She doesn't realize how badly I needed new sheets. It was a blessing for sure.
Yesterday the girls' sitter and my friend C brought me some cucumber plants. I was bummed because the flooding pretty much destroyed a big portion of my garden. I was most bummed about the cucumbers though and K was pretty bummed about the pumpkins but then a couple little plants sprouted. Anyway my friend saw how bummed I was and bought me some more cucumbers. YEAH!!

whew
We are back from a trip to the free Zoo in Madison. We took the kids today. It was fun, but exhausting. My hubby is a country driver and flat out refuses to drive in traffic or in big towns or well, pretty much he hates to drive unless it is on a gravel road. That being said, I do all the driving and today was no exception. I am glad that we left later than planned we encountered very little traffic. There were quite a few people at the zoo but not a lot of traffic getting there. No delays at all.
When we got home, the girls' sometimes sitter (AKA my friend C) came over and K, C and I went to the thrift store. C is there just about everyday and she noticed today that they refilled my favorite thing, the nickel bin. They have kids clothes in there for 5 cents a piece. Oh yeah!!! when they stock that I go a big crazy but really when you think about it, if the kids stain or somehow ruin the clothes after wearing them only once I am really not out anything. So anyway I got a whole walmart bag of clothes for 95 cents. Mostly stuff for O but a couple things for K, including this super cute nightgown with a puppy on it.
Oh and a bit on the weightloss front. Without even trying, I have lost more weight.
