I got a speeding ticket. The cop was a jerk about the carseats. I understand the need to make sure car seats are safe but I believe in this case he went a bit overboard. I have written to the sherriff's department requesting some information and based on that information, I may go to my court date. My carseats are new, properly installed and not past their useful dates. I had my kids properly fastened in and the car seats are in excellent working order. I was not beligerent to the officer either. Although, I really wanted to scream for all the frustration he caused. I was speeding, although I do not believe I was going as fast as he said I was. Whatever~ :eyeroll:

The girls are doing good. We have been enjoying the mild weather and spending hours and hours outside.

K is potty training and is doing very well. Funniest thing. She pooped in her potty last night and wanted to show me and daddy so she wrapped the poop in her underwear, brought it into the livingroom and dropped it into my unsuspecting hand. Ewwww. But you gotta love her logic.

I have been 1 week with only 1 cigarrette. I got one from my brother when he was here. The day I got my ticket.

My friend stopped over last weekend. The baby really loves him.

Good to be home

What a trip. We had to go 2 hours North today for Christmas with my mom's side. I love seeing my grandpa and a couple of my cousins but I really don't like the rest of the family. 1 aunt always causes a fight. She picks on someone every year. It has not been me for a couple years now.

Here is the drama that ensued:
My aunt picked a fight with my cousin, her neice, over the way my cousin's child was behaving.
My mom was sick and crabby.
Grandpa didn't have the cards filled out so he had to quick do that.
One of my cousins got hit on the way there and put her car in the ditch.
The little kids were mostly good but a few were naughty which caused some of the older people to freak out.

We left after only a couple hours of being there. My ears hurt from all the talking and screaming going on. My Grandpa, bless his heart, gave us a nice chunk of money for a present. Part of it went to each of the girls for their savings accounts. I told him not to get us anything so he gave us cash instead. I appreciate it alot. Basically what he gave us paid for a full tank of gas for hubby's SUV and we had a little left over. That was sooo nice of him to do.

I had the chance to talk with Grandpa's girlfriend a little bit more today and that was nice. She is a sweet lady, who is a widow. Grandpa is a widower. My Grandmother passed away almost 2 years ago. Just after Christmas. I like Grandpa's girlfriend but I feel kind of strange about it because she is not my Grandma. I am glad she makes Grandpa happy though. He deserves to be happy after dealing with my Grandmother's illnesses for so long. We got a four generation picture today and that looks so nice. I am going to have it published in our local paper. We had a 5 generation the year that K was born.
